About the Rev. Lahpai Zau Tu Memorial Research Center


Rev. Lahpai Zau Tu Memorial Research Center has over 30,000 volumes of books, various theological journals (both print and non-print) are available for the users. A total collection of 65% are in English, 20% in Myanmar, and 15% are in Kachin. The building includes archives and provides audio-visual programs and Internet access. Rev. Lahpai Zau Tu Memorial Research Center keeps books such as: biblical, theological, historical, religious, philosophical, other Christian literature and educational books.

Rules & Regulation

1. Library will remain open from 09.00 am to 05.00 pm on all college working days.
2. Before entering into the Library, users have to deposit their belongings, other than note books in the property counter.
3. Students, faculty, staff and alumni of KTCS, local church Pastors and Ministers are allowed to use KTCS Library.
4. Only students, faculty and staff of KTCS are allowed checking out the books.
5. Users must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of the book before borrowing, otherwise they will be held responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of returning.
6. Inappropriate behaviors and dress/fashions are strictly prohibited in the Library.
7. Bags, Umbrellas and eatable items are not allowed to take inside the Library.
8. Users are allows to check out 3 books at a time for seven days and should return before or on due date, however, the demand of the book is high for the user, extension for another seven days are permitted.
9. Fines for over-due book will be charged at the rate of Kyats 500 per day for each book.
10. Users must produce his/ her identity card at the time of borrowing.
11. When books are returned, the borrower should make sure that the return of each book is acknowledged by the Library staff.
12. Marking, underlining, drawing and extra writing on the book with pen or pencil must be avoided.
13. If the book is lost, it may be replaced or a triple amount of the cost will be charged.
14. All the borrowed books must be returned before the final examination.
15. No reference books, rare books & periodicals shall be issued to members.
16. Silence should be strictly maintained in and around the library.
17. Please drop any suggestion, complaints in the readers’ suggestion box or contact the librarian.
18. Mobile phone should be kept in silent mode in the library.
19. Decorum & discipline should be maintained in the library.
